Wudang Internal Skills

1:33 AM # Wushu # 2 comments
"Everyone knows schools like the Shaolin Monks by name, but visually the Wudang School is the most recognizable. The founder of Tai Chi, Wudang is home to those dedicated to keeping peace in the world.
The basic idea behind the Wudang School is balance. Visitors of the temple see the Yin Yang symbol etched around the grounds. The Wudang believe that the balance of one’s mind and body is essential to the mastery of the martial arts.
In combat, they redirect energy used against them, throwing enemies off balance with a punch, or maneuvering thin swords through enemy defenses.

The skills of the Wudang School in Age of Wushu display this strategy. Swords are the weapon of choice. Whether it is a single or double sword technique, these masters use their weapons as an extension of their mind and body. To them the sword is not a tool, but part of themselves. The Wudang can shift enemy strength and push chi energy out with a swing of the blade for a ranged attack. Their parries attack the strength of others, rather than absorb blows like the skills of different schools.

The teachings of balance are even apparent in today’s Tai Chi practitioners. They believe that achieving perfect evenness leads to a longer and healthier life, by preventing accidents or injuries otherwise caused by cluttered minds and clumsy bodies. Unconfined to rigid patterns the Wudang have a freedom of movement and beliefs unseen in other schools like the Shaolin and Tangmen.

The iconic stairs leading to the temple are the first step to this balance. While there are not as many steps as one would encounter in real-life (3 hours climbing virtual stairs wasn’t entertaining in focus testing), the in-game school is modeled after the real-life school. Bold green-tiled ceilings and orange buildings fill the grounds, and a giant Yin Yang stage represents balance in the school, as well as training.

The legendary Xuanwu Statue at the front of the school serves as a reminder of strength and a symbol of the good they represent. The image of the Snake and Tortoise has many sources, but most common is the belief that these two beasts are sins of a man that became a god. The former man returned to conquer these evils and make them to serve him as generals for the good of humanity. This monument of triumph is a welcomed sight in one of Age of Wushu’s most honorable schools." -Age of Wushu official description

3rd Internal Quests
Level 1: Kill six high-level mobs. Easier than it sounds, aside from the fact that they tend to come in twos or threes.

Level 2: Same deal as level 1, but different mobs. They hit harder, so watch out for that.

Level 7-9: Run Tiger Roaring Village. Can be difficult to solo because Wudangs hit like nerds.

Level 10: Spy on Shaolin.

Level 11: Do school patrol once. If you want to make things easy, ask in guild chat for a ringer to expose himself and get killed by you.

Level 12-13: Kill Li Li, take her poison record and bring it to balding old guy. Then bring balding old guy five Lvmai Drugs. Rank 5+ Poisonmakers might produce these with Blood Throat Evil Manual.

Level 14-15: Kill a dude who's weak and take a key from him. Use the key to open a chest near the school herbal hall and take the scripts inside to the headmaster.

Level 16-18: Sword wizard needs food badly! Talk to a cook named Zhao Dazhuang, get a quest to kill a special boar and get "rice spring" wine. The boar is easy, but you need a chef to use the Jade Spring Wine recipe to produce "Rice Spring." Give the materials to the chef and bring the resulting meal to the headmaster.

Level 19: Collect Golden Pill Grass and Nanming Flowers, which is stupidly quick and easy.

Level 20-21: Get a brush and a bucket of water and scrub that statue of a snake and turtle who are bros. It's not as quick as the level 19 quest but it is stupider.

Level 22-23: The headmaster's grandson needs Huatuo Pills and Chrysanthemum Wine. Huatuo Pills are actually Compound Barrier-Dissolving Pill x 4. You also need Chrysanthemum Wine x 4, which the chef who made Rice Spring for you might still have.

Level 24-27: Go to Luoyang to talk to Taoist Xinwu at the Challenge Arena. He'll give you copper coins and tell you to buy wine at the tavern. Ask the tavernkeeper for wine and hear about the dine-and-dash incident. Talk to Xing Junke to hear him bitch. Ask the tavernkeep for more wine and bring it back to Xinwu at the Arena. Xinwu will tell you to go to Buddha's Cave to beat Fodi's ass and arrest him. Go to the cave, fight the Enemy of Buddha that spawns, and talk to Xing Junke to get Fodi's token. Bring the token back to Xinwu.

Level 28+:

1st Quest: Talk to the Headmaster, then go to 1115, 431 in Suzhou to talk to Ling Xiaozi. Then head to 1586, 389 to talk to some old asshole. Then to 1538, 457 to beat the shit out of some corrupt cop (I think). Then to 1477, 379 so we can make medicine for the douchebag we wind up killing later for murdering everyone. Fetch quest time! Head to 1715, 345 for Snake Neck Grass, 1515, 183 for Blue Stamen Flower, and 1384, 358 for Purple Heart Flower. Then head back to 1477, 379. Then back to Wudang for your page. This quest is basically Snail telling you to get fucked if you don't want to buy a Fanyu.

2nd Quest: Talk to the Headmaster, then go to 568, 780 to give crap to some old man. He gives you an axe to take to 26, -312. Not just fetch quests, but ones that take you all the way across the zone! YAY. Fuck this quest. Talk to the guy, follow him west, give something to the injured guy on the ground when you're done following, then head west. The fight is easy, use Taiji Sword and dance and pegasus a lot. After you beat the shit out of them they will magically flip the fight on you and whip you off a cliff because this game's writing sucks. You'll wake up in a cave. Talk to the old woman with the horrifyingly empty eyes, then Xing Junke, then go diving into the murder pool. It will try to kill you. Use Flying Horse and Circle the Moon to keep your shit together while you swim around and grab fish. Give Fish to the old lady then beat the shit out of her. Again, of course, after winning the fight you magically get your shit kicked in. I hate this game's quests. After getting magicked by an old woman, head back to the Headmaster to finish up.

3rd Quest: Find Ban Yaiku is in Luoyang at 419, 106, after you talk to him, there is a message that you hear a scream at (506,106) look for a "Butler Qiu" corpse down the cliff just west of the building he's in. The appropriate cliff is between the compound where Yan Baiku is and the location labeled "Yanmen Family" on your map. Click him, loot the letter, then head to 247, 415 to talk to Zhang Liming (Zhang Lili is the actual NPC name, but the letter calls her Zhang Liming. No idea). Head to White Horse Temple then go up the stairs to the right for a cut scene. Wait around for a waiter to show up, keep talking to the NPCs, then head to GCC. There's an NPC west of the GCC gate who can port you into the mini-instance for this crap. Attack Hengtian first, as Xing Junke helps you wail on him, then kill Xing Junke, loot your Thunder Firelock Manufacturing Design, and head back to Zhang Lili/Liming at 247, 415 to get a package from her to haul back to your headmaster. Head back to the headmaster, collect your page, then start this stupid fucking quest trio all over again. Without crits you're going to do it TWENTY ONE times for 3rd internal 36. Good luck not going completely fucking bonkers.

Note: If you already have a Thunder Firelock Manufacturing Design from running real GCC, you can skip the mini-instance.
